The Presbyterian Home for Children partnered with M.I.N.D. (Mentoring In New Dimensions) to host a Fall Festival in Wilcox County on October 20.

The event, held at a community park in Pine Hill, featured hayrides, food, candy, music and fellowship.

About 70 kids and parents came, many in Halloween costumes. The mission partnership with M.I.N.D. (Mentoring In New Dimensions) started last year to expand the Home’s services into other needy areas of Alabama.

The Director of M.I.N.D. (Mentoring In New Dimensions), Brooks Thomas, organized the fall event with Wilcox County Commissioner Quarre Calhoun, who is a longtime friend of Thomas’.

Over the last year, the Home has given items to children of Wilcox County for holidays, such as Christmas, Valentine’s Day and Easter, and hosted a summer fun day as well as a giveaway of school supplies in August for the start of a new school year.
