Ascension Leadership Academy
Ascension Leadership Academy features an accredited academic curriculum and a culture of academics and leadership. Students in grades K – 12 learn how to be critical thinkers, problem solvers, and leaders in their community.
Ascension serves students residing at the Presbyterian Home for Children and surrounding areas. Many of our students reside in Talladega, Calhoun and St. Clair counties. Our personalized instructional program and our small class size provide students with multiple opportunities to excel. While in high school, more than 25% of our graduates earn college credit through the dual and/or accelerated college credit programs at Central Alabama Community College.

Our beautiful, newly-renovated school building nestled in the heart of downtown Talladega has been created with the needs and expectations of today’s modern students in mind. Dynamic classrooms are designed to provide students with the settings to work in collaborative groups and at individual work stations capable of accommodating their learning style.

SMALL CLASS SIZE
Small class size averaging 6-12 students per teacher.
Students benefit from the inclusion in a fine arts program focused on music, art, and performance.

Ascension Leadership Academy, as an integral part of the Presbyterian Home for Children, conducts itself in such a way as to nurture, direct and challenge all students to develop academically, socially, and spiritually to their maximum potential and to provide all students with the opportunity to become the fully functional persons whom God created them to be.
Through Ascension Leadership Academy, in conjunction with the services available at the Presbyterian Home for Children, students and their families will receive comprehensive services and quality educational opportunities that provide the skills, self-confidence, and discipline to make appropriate choices, in all aspects of their lives, and to instill the determination necessary to accomplish their goals: thereby, providing each student the opportunity for success.

All charitable gifts made to the Presbyterian Home for Children are tax-deductible in accordance with current tax laws. The Federal Tax ID number is 63-030753. Gifts made to the Presbyterian Home for Children can be designated for use in education. This will allow your gift to benefit the students at Ascension Leadership Academy.
The faculty of Ascension Leadership Academy consists of men and women who are recognized as outstanding educators. They all teach in their certified fields of study, most hold advanced degrees, and they sponsor clubs, and serve as academic advisors to our students. Together with the Administration and Support Staff, we are dedicated to providing an excellent education to our students.
